The UPLIFTER
Jenée Hudson
I was born and raised in Dugway, Utah, on the army base, yes as an army brat. I attended high school in England UK (as an Air-force brat) and not to long after graduation I moved to Michigan. Once I got here and learned a few things, I got married and had 2 children.
I worked multiple jobs and put myself through college. One of the jobs was Kmart Headquarters where I worked in 3 roles, Return Logistics Analyst, Allocations Specialist, and a Co-Buyer within the Women’s Plus Department. During that time, I also received my Master’s degree in Organizational Management; Leadership.
Kmart HQ downsized, and I was a part of the transition. Change for me was challenging, but I had no choice, and I took a chance and became a corporate recruiter in an office setting for a company that dealt with the Big 3 Automotive industries, and recruited from home for IT, banking, and medical field positions.

Another transition happened and I landed a rewarding position at Vista Maria, as an HR Generalist. Vista Maria is a social services facility for troubled youth. I worked here for 3 years and received a world of knowledge. This position not only gave me experience in the HR department, but it showed me a world where I could be helpful to young people through volunteering. It also increased my knowledge of the morals and values of others. I will forever keep the lessons learned from here.
Then another transition happened, and I got another HR Generalist position within the Industrial Cleaning industry.
This position later turned into promotion as HR Manager, then a multi-role position, where I did it all; HR Manager & Generalist, Recruiting Manager, Labor Relations, multi-state travel, hiring/dismissals, process and procedures, and managing employees, this only touches the surface of everything I managed at this company. I worked here for 6 1/2 years in a Senior Management role.
Lastly, I was unemployed and months went by when COVID-19 was in effect no positions were available for me based on my experience. I decided to start my own business!
I'm a proud African American woman, with strength and direction from God, that has kept me humble and overwhelmed with gratitude! I have been challenged to uplift myself, get through many obstacles and unfortunate situations during the course of my personal life and career. Such experiences have made me become well-rounded, and educated during my 20 years within the HR field and have strengthened my knowledge, expertise, and passion to assist within the Human Resources field overall.
I stand for inclusiveness, for entrepreneurs those who think they don't have a voice in any job opportunity or role. My HR ethics want to assist people, to show their unique worth, help them to believe in themselves, and to prove that they are worthy and not alone.
